Apparently size doesn't matter...you'd think the smaller the size but no....

I've been told they are super effective, providing you stay in the range of coverage. I'm going to get one for our patio next time I stop in.

Anyways I got one and it's incredibly effective

There was a swarm of mosquitoes feasting on me a few minutes ago but even with a constant breeze the Thermacell is keeping them at bay now

Oh, and I was stationed in Panama for a year and a half. The first half was hell, waking up seemingly every day with 5-6 new bites from those little unnoticeable bastards. Then, for some reason it seemed to stop. Maybe it was dry season, but I like to think I gained some kind of immunity to that type. The locals never complained.

It was probably just the dry season though.

When you were in Panama were you in the field or anything because i remember when I was around 15 I had a summer youth job with the local county government where we'd clean up trash along the roadways, etc. we were complaing about the mosquitos as kids would and our boss told us how when he was younger he worked on a fire crew in Montana one summer and didn't shower for days at a time. he said the bugs never bothered him then. I guess after a while the natural scent of mankind isn't as attractive to the bug

No garrison, and very hygenic the whole time. Maybe I changed soap, or it was a better sealed barracks room. My apartment off post had a ceiling fan as well.
