And what do we think of the MM Armada?

It specs out like an excellent guitar. It sounds good. I think the blue one looks decent. However, if I was looking to spend that kind of money on a guitar, I’d be concerned about resale value. I wonder how many months a used Armada would sit on Reverb with low interest from buyers even if competitively priced?

Yeah its pricey. There's one on my local CL for 3k and some change. IDK...it does strike me as a niche guitar without a lot of mass appeal or resale value. I might go check it out, might not.

I would not have a problem owning a niche guitar that did not have a lot of resale appeal as long as I was sure it was a forever keeper. I have a few cheap guitars that probably would not have much resale interest. But, I did not lay out a lot of cash for them, so I don’t care.

I have not played a lot of MM guitars. From what I recall, the ones I did play had necks that felt narrow and small near the nut. It’s a subtle thing. Yet, subtle things matter more when a guitar costs thousands.

It’s cool if you’re in a funk or jam band and need a wild looking guitar to excite the stoners in the crowd. Anywhere else it’s going to look like a piece of futuristic furniture. But people probably said that to Leo Fender a hundred times.
