Help! All around axe (guitar)

HSS Strat, a Les Paul with vintage-voiced PAF-type pickups and some coil split/tap options, or a modernIzed tele deluxe type guitar with conventional humbuckers (like the current Amer Pro II Tele Deluxe) are all going to give you a lot of sounds. Get yourself an EQ pedal and you’ll be able to tweak and shape further.

If I could only have one electric I don’t really care that much abt shape, but it’d have P90s…

If I could only own one electric guitar it would be some sort of vintage 50s inspired blackguard Telecaster. Beefy bridge pickup, warm but not muddy neck pickup, a neck not too fat and not too thin. I got no real love for whammy bars, esp Strat ones so a HSS Strat just aint my bag.
Theres really no genre of music that I enjoy that I couldn't make a traditional Telecaster work.

That said, I really enjoy my SG Standard, it can mimic a tele pretty well and I really prefer the set up and scale length. Also love my White Falcon, its prob the most versatile guitar I own, but its a big ol guitar w a lotta bling that deserves to be well cared for, so prob not the best for a rowdy club.

If it's rock, blues and jazz mostly, and occasionally some metal, I'd go for an LP or LP-style guitar, with ordinary humbuckers.

I vote for some sort of 335 style.

I've got an Epi 336, and a LP. The 335 gets the most love.

And if you tend towards playing unamplified, a hollow-body makes a bit more sound than a solid-body.

Lighter substantially.

I think the thing we are ignoring (I didn't notice, and I'm the one who posted the pic in the first place)...

.... they put shredded cheese on that burger and cooked it until it's a wonderful, crispy cheese coating to the juicy burger. :heavymetal:

I do the same thing when I make Grilled Cheese..... usually 3 kinds of cheese, one kind will be sliced like pepper jack or baby swiss, then big chunks of something melty like gruyere or goat cheese... and then one kind that is shredded and placed on all four surfaces of the buttered bread prior to it going in the pan.

one I made last week. :baimun:

The fact that I refuse to use sliced “murrica cheeze (tm)” has me thinking about a conversation I JUST had with @mystixboi1 … all us mad scientist types are completely incapable of saying “that’s good. Nothing else to do or change here…” :embarrassed:
