Not really a fan of either band.....though really you should divide Jefferson Starship into the Balin era and post Balin era. Of the whole combined lot JA would be what I favor - but really not a fan of any configuration apart from occasional lusting after Grace Slick when she was younger.

A bitta too much acid, either them or me ... anyhow, i never liked their rough hippie-prog too much. I drifted more to the upcoming Yes and later Peter Bank's Flash. Oh yeah, not to forget the early Jethro Tull ... :)

Didn't have photoshop back then This is what Grace looked like. She was beautiful.
Unfortunately the years haven't been kind to her. I saw her on the local news a few years ago in an interview about something that happened in Coronado. You wouldn't even recognize her now.

She kind of had a "scary sexy girl" appeal in her early years but it's amazing she's still alive based on her lifestyle at one time. Hopefully she's happy now. I remember around the time they did "We Built This City". She was hoping for a big payday so she could retire in style since she was towards the end of her run in the music industry and knew it wouldn't be long. Hopefully she got a few dollars.

Jefferson Airplane came back and recorded this horrible song in 1989. Which I consider the worst song ever recorded. Even at around 4 minutes it feels like it goes on forever. Bad singing, stupid lyrics, and crappy guitar solo. It can't even be sort of liked ironically. Grace Slick sounds like she recorded her part over the telephone. I think they recorded dumpster fire just to make We Built this City feel better about itself.

I am forced to go with Starship. Because at least they didn't record 'Planes' under that name.

Lols etc. Ive never heard that song before but it did make me laugh. Especially when he starts gong on about a little boy, little girl, little guy for fecking ages.

Brilliant(ly bad)

Are you aware that a cover of Built this City...was a UK Christmas No1 this year?

Its not too bad i suppose. Song starts at about 1.20
