when I got my bonus I got that thinline telecaster a month or so ago. after the initial honeymoon wore off, I played it side-by-side with my reissue 75 telecaster deluxe, and even though that's not a thinline it got the same ballpark sound and the real cunife WRHs in the deluxe put the ones in the thinline to shame.
so I listed it for sale locally for 1400 bucks, which I think is reasonable, but I wasn't getting any interest in it. At this point you may be wondering why I am posting this in the acoustic form? Well, after about a week this guy sent me a trade offer for a Gibson J45 studio. it's from a few years ago and it has the gloss nitro finish versus the satin that is on the new ones. It looked like it was in pretty good shape and it came with the original case, so I agreed to the trade, thinking I would be able to sell it more easily and probably for a little bit more money.
But dang if I don't actually really like it! I think I'm going to keep it. I guess by the transitory power this is now my "bonus guitar". I have a solo acoustic "songwriter show" next Wednesday and I'm looking forward to using it!
