While watching that video I was thinking your voice sounded higher than the bass players voice.

I'm going tonight to see a couple of buddies from where I work play in their trio cover band. The bass player and the guitar player both sing lead, but both have lost some of that high end, being in their late 40's, and they do mostly '80s rock where you need a higher pitched singer. Sometimes it's painful to hear them try and hit some of that stuff :grin: But they just play the local bars in front of all the drunks, so it's all good :)

Challenging enough without doing double duty on most Cry Of Love tunes, I think. Did you ever do any Badlands stuff? A bit higher vocally and a bit rippier on guitar but a blueprint in the same zone though.
 
Great stuff. I had no idea that anybody outside of the southern US had ever heard of Cry of Love. They are one of my favorite little known bands. Audley Freed is a monster.

Particularly like the Cry Of Love cover. I've had the Brother album for years and finally managed to track down their second and final album, Diamonds and Debris a few months back. Like Prages said, Audley Freed is a monster.
 
I got to see Cry of Love live in a bar in Myrtle Beach, SC back in about '95 or so. It was when they were touring on the Brother album. I actually spoke with Audley before the show, but had no idea who he was at the time. :embarrassed:
 
Love the original too! With the first riff I immediately thought of Cry of Love. Then I read the rest of the posts. Too bad your all the way in Norway. I'd come see you live. Let us know when you have something recorded.

I saw Cry of Love open for ZZ Top. I have seen lots of bands and they are only opening act I have ever seen come out for an encore. Wish they were still around.
 
Cool, Rock Show reminded me of UFO.

There was an Irish band called Protex years ago that also had a song called Rock Show, but they were more a poppy punk band.
