I can't get past the body contours to appreciate the finish. I think I would like the finish if the body wasn't contoured like that.
Yeah, but even the regular contours on a PRS keep me from ever getting one. It makes no sense, but that is how it is for me.I don't really think it's the contours - rather it's a sort of illusion that results from the exaggerated grain. I think that the grain makes the contours look much deeper than they otherwise would.

Beware people. There are more than a few articles about wolf tones, dead spots and such when dealing with a PRS Custom 24 with a trem. I had one and it was unusable.
