No offence. That's actually pretty nice, but you have the blackness and nice rims and the hood mods and stuff.
The Fox platform isn't a favorite even to many Mustang fans and owners, but they also have a huge following. The Fox was the return of the pony car, and in 1979 a
very welcome change from the Mustang II, a change that lasted until 1993. It can even be suggested that the Fox platform saved the Mustang and paved the way for the Mustangs to follow.
Fox bodied 'stangs still rule the local, grass-roots dragstrips to this day. Easy to work on, cheap parts, and capable of holding a V8 with as much Hp as you dare at roughly 3000 lbs and a cheap set of subframe connectors!
Mine has been customized (formerly a 4 cyl. which was just plain stupid for a Mustang!) but still retains the original wheels and body except for the 'glass hood. It's only been my DD for the past few weeks. Up till then it was just a weekend car but thankfully the hard work has paid off and she's holding up well as a work car, except the gas mileage.... a terrible 10-12 mpg
with a stroked, 302HO and lots of engine work, 5 speed, etc etc
That's what makes us all different, and thank goodness there are plenty of cars for all of us drool over. I wasn't a big Fox fan either until this one fell in my lap, funny how that works
