Fender Bass VI 1974 - a stunning Sunburst Bass 6 w/all the Beatle features.

Another cool one just acquired its a exceptionally clean & very original 1974 Fender Bass VI 6-string Bass w/all the right features, its has its original Sunburst finish over a nice Alder body, its White Bound & Block inlaid 4-bolt Rosewood Neck is ultra clean w/a perfect logo & fresh new frets to make her perfectly playable, there’s no date stamp on its neck typically from this period but she has pot date codes from 1974, its original Tortoise-shell pickgard pulls this all together making it one of Fender’s last great inventions, its 3 pickups are super smooth w/that quintessential “Beatle” sound ! Its so cool from its tuners to its bridge still retaining its bridge cover, it has a gorgeous clean & bright patina for a 50 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, its medium weight having killer sustain & tone qualities, they don’t come much better, she’s exceptional overall & comes in a Vox square shaped Hard Case.

that's very nice.
never played one and would not know what to do with the extra two strings.
give me a P/J and i'm good.

The tone settings are pretty versatile, letting it sounds more like more like a bass or a guitar-like "tic-tac" bass/baritone guitar. Jack Bruce aside, I think most play it like the latter. "Wichita Lineman" and ""Just Like Heaven" are great examples of the Bass VI as a unique instrument.

Looks nice but I have no use for it and that's a lot of dosh for something that would be an experiment at best for me.
