TGIF? Nah...TGIY!

The classic Yamaha doublecut shape updated with modern electronics, specs, and a classic Gold Top finish. This is the SBG1802, which is built with a maple top over a mahogany body. The modern changes to the guitar are a redesigned top that curves deeper than previous models, and now the center has optimized wood-mass to maximize the vibration of the strings through the bridge and tailpiece. The back is now flat to increase the low-mid response and presence of the instrument. The SBG headstock has been reshaped to a slightly smaller size – and the classic ‘flower pot’ inlay has been resized to be appropriately proportioned. Tone is provided by two Seymour Duncan P-90s for great chunky and well-defined tones, and hardware are Grover locking tuners and TonePros bridge/tailpiece for a rock-solid construction.

I always loved those double cut Yammys, and did not know a gold top existed. Yes please! And I would like a double humbucker one as well.

Not bad, I like the Yamaha SGs, but for that price, I'd prefer to get my hands on one of the late 70s/early 80s SG2000s.

It's funny that I like the SG2000's that Carlos played back in the '70s, (either natural or black finishes with humbuckers), but I don't like the look with P90s and a goldtop finish. I can't explain why since I like P90s and I don't mind goldtops.
