Well I' ve listened to her ever since I saw her on ACL, I'd have to say "Knock Loud" or "Favorite" are her best. On a Kerouac related note, her version of Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis is incredible. Her ACL show is on DVD, well worth getting.

I'm not sure I can pinpoint a favorite. "The Needle Has Landed" is swell. "Whip the Blankets" is nifty. "Margaret vs. Pauline" is good too.

The Needle Has Landed was on there for a minute too. Pretty much the entire Fox Confessor album was. It's not that I don't love her other albums, but Fox Confessor is one of those few truly perfect albums, IMO.

My old band opened up for Neko Cases first show in Chicago a long time ago (1997 I think) at now defunct club called Lounge Ax. We also got mentioned in previews in both the Sun Times and Tribune.


Moral of the story? The Dew Man is a washed up, has been ex-rock star.

Fox Confessor Brings the Flood is easily one of the top 5 rock albums of the past decade. And that could very well be understating it.
