PRS DGT Private Stock, Spalted Maple (New/Mint/Unplayed!!)

Up for sale is a 2011 new/mint/unplayed PRS DGT Private Stock Spalted Maple electric guitar. I am a guitar collector and this guitar has only been out of the case for photos and inspection. This is one amazing guitar! The weight of the guitar is 8 lbs 5 oz. Enjoy the pics and thanks for viewing!

If I had an unlimited budget and picked out a custom PRS, it would probably look a LOT like that one.

The first two pics have no inlays, the other two where you can see the fretboard it has bird inlays. What gives?

Fantastic-looking guitar though. It's almost too pretty, I wouldn't want to play it in case it got dinged :embarrassed:

I noticed that too. I think it was probably just the lighting, since it's only the outline birds, or Jbirds...which is YOU! [twilight zone music]
 
It is a beautiful guitar. It also is pretty much everything I do not want in my own guitars. So I almost feel bad giving it a low score. Almost...

Pretty much how I felt. I certainly wouldn't want to buy it and wouldn't even be tempted to play it, but if I saw it in a shop it would definitely catch my eye.
 
I am not generally a fan of the PRS doublecut shape, but that's probably the nicest I've seen of the species.
 
The guitar would be great without the racing stripe. Doing something so obvious with a nicely striped slab of lumber it is a shame. Someone could have been really creative with it, instead it just ended up looking like an Asian Alembic knockoff. But I guess to a blues dentist this is a great Pokémon.

I will say, though, if I ever get to where I can afford a high end PRS (and if that time comes, I sure can't see it form here), the one I would want is a P-22, but give it this look, and I'd be all in.
