Parker Fly Deluxe

The Parker Fly Deluxe is a type of electric guitar built by Parker Guitars. It was designed by Ken Parker and Larry Fishman, and first produced in 1993. The Fly is unique among electric guitars in the way it uses composite materials. It is notable for its light weight (4.5 lb; 2.0 kg) and resonance. It was also one of the first electric guitars to combine traditional magnetic pickups with piezoelectric pickups, allowing the guitarist to access both acoustic and electric tones.

The Parker Fly features a set of two magnetic Humbucker style pickups and a Fishman developed piezoelectric pickup designed to emulate acoustic guitar sounds. The piezoelectric pickup is aided by an onboard active pre-amplifier requiring the use of a 9 volt battery. The magnetic pickups are passive, but sit within the active circuit path. Fly guitars feature a stereo output jack, allowing the piezo and magnetic pickups to be sent to different amplifiers, or blended into a mono signal.

I rarely post prices anymore, but this one is a really good deal for anyone that is looking for a Fly Deluxe, probably on account of the hideous finish. $999

 
$999 probably isn't bad for a use Parker Fly Deluxe, but to me that color combo is hideous. Again, to me, it makes the guitar look cheap.

I saw the guy from Alabama playing one of these on The Voice this week. His was neon green. That was cool. This is not. However, these are awesome guitars. Too bad some painter ruined it.

Wow, that is probably the worst guitar finish I have ever seen. I love parker guitars, but not that one.

That finish, however......yuck. Looks like the color you would get if you mixed all the leftover paint cans together. That is awful.
Seriously, was that guy color-blind (both the painter AND the guy who bought it)?
That is the ugliest guitar I have seen in a long, long time, if not ever.
Which is a shame, because Parker makes some killer guitars.

What is that monstrosity called? Clay-burst? What fucking color IS that? Either one of them? It's so ugly it is offensive.

Actually, at $999, you could refinish it, maybe......so, I'm thinking somewhere around $5-$600 and it would be a steal.
