Description & Specs
Carlos Lopez the Founder and Builder behind Castedosa Guitars has been in the guitar making industry for almost 2 Decades. Carlos is prominently known for his work as Master Builder with the Fender Custom Shop. He has worked with artists such as Ariel Posen , Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Robby Robertson, Tyler Bryant, Josh Klinghoffer, Chris Garza, and Eric Johnson to name a few. In that time he has sought to master his craft and has continued to learn and grow.

He felt compelled to start Castedosa Guitars with his wife Stephanie Lopez as a way to continue that pursuit of growth. Starting this company is his “evolution and contribution to the world”. Castedosa is more than just a guitar company, it is a Family enterprise. His hope is that doing this alongside his family will bring greater purpose and meaning to their lives. Leaving Fender was a very difficult decision to make but his family means more to him than prestige, and that is what Castedosa represents.

I like the idea of a semi hollow tele with twin humbuckers but after that there's so much that puts me off that guitar, the price being one of them.
 
The partscaster with a Teisco neck vibe is cool. But I cracked the fuck up when I saw the price.
 
I thought it was just old and ugly at first and I could feel some pity for it. But it’s new old ugly looking then it just ugly overpriced guitar. I don’t like fakery.
 
Whats the deal with combining features of the classics and calling it innovative and charging a shit load of cash for it? Oh, yeah...cash
 
My two cents is that the mix-and-match booteek builder world is out of control. It’s really hard not to catch brain spiders from the guitar parts of the internet re: the empire of endless want and trend hopping and guitar fashion.

I’ve been doing some shopping and it’s really easy to start convincing yourself that you need some bespoke Homer-mobile monstrosity once you start contemplating a “big purchase.” It’s really wild how guitar fashion gets your brain working vs. how one might regard buying the best piano or trumpet for your current level/needs/economic station.
