I've been talking to Stingray's brother the last two days.

Rev, you may be out of luck meeting him in Costa Rica.

He isn't a Costa Rican citizen, so he has to leave the country for 3 days every 3 months. This time he went to Panama. He's now stuck in Panama and can't get back to Costa Rica.

Bummer, my friends brother had to go to Nicaragua this week for the same reason. Apparently the "border hop" as they call it is just part of living there.

It's just until you get residency. If you are retired and have a verifiable pension or are getting social security you can get residency automatically. If you are like me you have to go through a long process that takes a couple of years, but provided your not a criminal you will get it, you just have to be patient.

When you enter Costa Rica you get a 90 visa, and they won't renew it until you leave and re-enter. Most of the time when you can't get back in, it's because you over stayed your visa and they won;t let you back in for three times the amount of time you over stayed. So if you over stayed by 1 week, you have to leave for 3 weeks before you get back in. This is in place mostly to combat the illegal Nicaraguan immigrants that come to Costa Rica for their better social welfare system. At least that is what I have been told a few of the contacts I have there.

Looks like Brother of Stingray is on his way back to Costa Rica.

I have talked to that fucker at least 20 times today.
