"Got pretty marked up, didn't it?"

I'm not a Clapton fan really, but that is the definitive Strat sound, as far as I'm concerned.

After all the fame, the addiction problems and the heartache, he still seems pretty grounded and real. I've never seen him live, but I really don't have to, he'll always be a great artist in my eyes. Like the way he plays that Strat fingerstyle.

PS Anybody else notice the tuners on the Les Paul?

I'll have to check out the video's later.

I have always been amazed by the Harrison/Clapton friendship that even survived Patti going from George to Eric.

The range of gear we can choose from today is mindboggling. So even 'God' couldn't lay his hands on a maple board Strat without resorting to American pawn shops? Makes me appreciate how lucky I am!

I'm not much of a Clapton fan myself, BUT! what a great video, man I could listen to those stories for hours

Haven't been much of a Clapton fan until lately. Wish I had listened to him years ago. Currently reading his autobiography too. It's neat to read all of the little things that happened in his life that made him who he is today.

He didn't seem too grounded when he complained to a server in Calgary about the $5 for a beer. The server didn't know who he was and she said "look buddy, you can pay $5 from me or you can go wait in that line and pay $5 at the bar"

I would love to have given that girl a hug and a tip after that one.

Not really a fan but the ol' f'er can play, there's no doubt about that.

$5 a beer? He may be rich but that doesn't make him stupid!

...and seeing as he's been orange juice only since the early 90s... hmmm!

So the Gibson Harrison/Clapton is a Custom Shop Repro? Got a bit of buzz on the 7th fret, don't it?

The Strat sounds pretty killer though.
