The conclusion of the people in the programme (having met lots of scientists who tried to point out some actual facts) was that there is no doubt. There is a conspiracy, the truth is out there.

I used to live next to someone that actually wore a tinfoil hat
......and painted his walls and ceilings with shielding paint, ran a tone generator 24-7, was a horder, etc and made all of his neighbor's lives a living hell because he was batshit crazy and the cops didn't want to deal with him. It really sucked

Because the police had already been involved with him and his problems with all the other neighbors & were constantly called out, your hands are tied from other options if you know what I'm saying; it was like being held hostage in your own place. He would kick your door, scream at you, threaten you....accuse you of spying on him....accuse you of conspiring with someone else to spy on him. He had this electronic tone generator that sounded like a CD skipping turned up so loud that you could hear it through the walls to combat electronic eavesdropping. He terrorized the women that lived in the two apartments above him so bad that the one would be afraid to come home if it was late at night. I can't even describe some of the shit he pulled. The other had relatives that would come stay with her, all the time, out of fear for her safety.
Call the cops and they'd come out and talk to him then say "well, that's your word against his." They just wanted no parts of dealing with him and it was like they trained him to know the limits to just how far he could push things & not get charged.
....living there required a ton of self control.
