The perfect guitar?

I know what I want....and I have the pickups to build it/have it built when I have the $$ to spare.

Tele body with contours - probably swamp ash body wood. Tele brisge pickup, Strat middle pickup, P-90 neck pickup. Maple neck w/maple fingerboard.

for me personally, the LP I bought this year feels perfect. As soon as I played it I knew that I would probably never touch my Telecaster again.

I'm still feeling my way around.

My perfect guitar would:

Have a thick neck with an almost flat radius.
Would have the quacky tomes of the Strat 2 and 4 positions.
Achieve buttery tones for jazz.
Icepick tones for blues.
Twang for country.
Chank for funk.

Does anything fit the bill for all these?

my SG works pretty nicely for me.

as for bass, been wanting a Ric 4003 for a LONG time...

acoustic?
no idea.
the stuff I have is good enough, I s'pose.
they don't get tons of use or anything.

My ideal guitar is a Fender Lead II.

hardtail, 2 singles, phase switch, small body. If I could get someone to make me a body, I would love to pair it with one of my Warmoth necks.

That would be a challenging build for me, and a guitar I think I would like... Hmmm...

Seems like you would have to go with a solid block and route it out and put a top on it. I am guessing the top would be quite difficult.

Well, I happen to have a pdf file of someones complete build, and I happen to have blueprints, so it should actually be simple enough... The top is tricky, but I know how to do the carve with my router planer... I was also thinking of building a Les Paul, but I already have a solid body Washburn with carved maple top and humbuckers, so I get that Les Paul sound already... I think a 335 would be something I would really like to have...

Are you saying that particular body is smaller than a regular strat?

What I want, what I think I want is a smaller version of the 335. Kind of like the 339. I cant decide if I would prefer a double cut or single cut but for some irrational reason, I want a semi-hollow 24.75 scale.

Any chance I could get a peek at those pdf's and plans?
