I think these might be the ugliest metal guitars ever.

hey, it was a cheap easy shot...

though I don't much care for the PRS stuff.
not that it's ugly, it just doens't do much for me.

I knew what you were doing but still couldn't let it slide.

I think the ugliest PRS is butter than any Dean. Am I wrong.

I don't know either one of those. I really don't pay any attention to Dean or BC Rich. Based on what I've seen I don't think either one is going to build anything I'm going to like any time soon.

I don't really hate any of the strat looking shape models, but the headstock is absolutely the worst part of the design. Anyway, they look like he stereotypical metal super strat. Some of the finishes are cool in the 'brewtul' kind of way.

This one is my favorite from the collection, and is something I would buy and play if it was a decent instrument.

well, I've only ever played one Dean that I can recall.
one was enough.
and that damn headstock...ugh.

but I've seen some Dean bodies that I like better than the regular PRS one.
that's just looks, mind ya.

but I'd take my cheap-ass BC Rich Virgin over any Dean, any day.
after my SG, it's my go-to guitar.

yep, in front of the LP.

see, now if I wanted something that looked like that, I'd just buy a LP.
*shrugs*

it does look good though.

headstock looks better than their regular fork, too.

all i'm saying is that i wouldn't rule it out. if i had X amount of dollars to spend on a double humbucking guitar, it would be in the running with the rest of them.

Some of those guitars look like they should come with a "you'll poke your eye out kid" disclaimer.

The Minarik's look like they have unbelievable workmanship (that manta ray thing is an amazing bit of inlay and woodwork but the shape is so impracticle it would weigh nearly a hundred pounds and you'd end up jabbing your eyes out).

There's a reason some of the old classics are "old classics" because by hook or by crook they stumbled across an ergonomic shape that ended up being visually pleasing as well as workable as an instrument.

A lot of the superstrat headstock shapes are due to copyright issues but also the C- Shop Class Detention guy was in there somewhere too.

But if they worked as a good resonant guitar well, play what turns you on.
