HCEG 2.0 Fails, I'm comin over here!

While we were known as a rather petulent bunch over there, we do love and are passionate about our guitars.

Perhaps we'll end up as a "kinder, gentler" bunch over here. Who knows?

And you're right, when they get it fixed, it will be way too late.

No problem...I'm digging having all of you guys. The "on-topic" portion of the site is really flourishing with the new blood!

I've noticed that folks tend to be a little nicer when they aren't posting on HC for some reason :embarrassed:

Even after the change over there, I had absolutely no intentions of leaving them, juist came in here out of curiosity, and it is like someone just flipped the switch putting us right back to a few days ago. I rersalize this isnt HC, but it is ALOT better than what they have over there now. The only thing missing really is the traffic, and I think that will continjue to grow as the days and weeks go by especially if undecided people like you stick around and bring some friends with you.

Wassup Dave?

All I know for sure is that I'm done at HC. Other than the cool folks there the big attraction was the huge user base. You could get an answer to anything in minutes. That seems to be history now. I looked in over there and it's a ghost town. Really sad.
The saddest part is that even though the admins know they fucked up, they won't dump Jive now. They're in way too deep.

I think I'll be splitting time between here and TGP mainly. I've been on TGP longer than HC but never posted there much. There are some killer players and smart people over ther though.
I like MyLesPaul but they have a group of guys there that kinda act like the Cobra Kai dudes from Karate Kid. They kind of bully the rest around too much. I'll lurk but probably won't be real active.

I agree. They (HC) aren't going to change back. Too many people that have pissed and moaned are still posting over there. If they really meant what they said they would just up and leave. As long as many of the regulars from there are here I'll stick around. HC had kind of grown on me but what they've done is basically say to Hell with the members.

The regulars have always been pretty nice to each other, except before election time. It got out of hand then, but that has been about it. And the trolls were getting the regulars (self included) pretty riled up.

I really haven't spent much time in EG before the last few months. GJ was in full melt-down mode...really awful.
 
HCEG was pretty civil most of the time. It went through phases but usually mellowed out after a while. Some of the other forums over there were nuts. PP was insane.

Isn't it wierd that I'm speaking of it the past tense?

It's still there, you know. Just in intensive care at the moment.

Guitar Jam is nowhere near as obnoxious as it was when I first joined.

I haven't ditched HC 100% yet, but the death of traffic really brings the place down. I posted 3 different threads and had to bump twice to get any response... maybe I'm just an attention whore, I dunno.

I guess the thing that bugs me most over there right now is the apparent disdain the owners have for their writers. They're acting like a bunch of dictators over there and to hell with what the users want. That's hard to take.
