The best Reaction video ever

It may not be apparent at first, but the subtle genius of this reaction video is overpowering once you understand it. You can't even think objectively enough to remember the day you first heard Comfortably Numb, and even if you can, you're white! There's nothing cool about the way you first described this song. Enter Reaction videos. They're here to do it for you, to make you remember when this old classic was a new novelty, or phenomenon. Don't be judgemental and racist, let these fresh initiates take you through the experience all over again. But with cooler descriptions than you would have used.

This one has to be right up there, once you realize that the song is about the singers wife having a miscarriage, and the reactor gal also had a miscarriage.

Makes for some emotional stuff. Someone was definitely cutting onions when I watched it.

Pffffft... They're showing the DSOTM cover while the song is playing. Their opinion is totally invalid.

I think that’s from the video they picked. At least it’s the original album and not some recent live video of the Waters-less band.

That's pretty cool. I'd watch it again just to watch that pretty girl enjoying Pink Floyd.

Those two do Ghost reaction videos all the time. They must have done about twenty. They seem to love nothing better than listening to Ghost and then giving a Christian-flavored critique.

They do a lot of black metal as well. They have a lot of in-depth knowledge of biblical scripture.

A lot of black metal. I've gone down the rabbit hole of watching their vids a few times.

They certainly know scripture. They have this tendency to take everything in the lyrics super earnestly, which is probably fair enough if you're criticising Jon Nödtveidt from Dissection, but when they're doing Ghost I feel you have to take it as tongue in cheek. But then their argument is that if a band are real out-and-out Satan worshippers hellbent on spreading the message they would do it in the Ghost way because that is more accessible, and not like Dissection or Watain or whoever.

It is hard to believe, when you're a geezer like me that grew up with this stuff, that there's a whole generation that's not familiar with it. Add to it that classic/prog rock didn't get much, if any, play on R&B stations just adds to it. I love this guy's reaction to this Genesis classic.

He has some technical difficulties in the beginning. It doesn't really start until about 9:50 in.

But back to the OP, Comfortably Numb, and The Wall in general, is in that category of songs that I've just heard too many times. Watching that though, and listening to Gilmore's solo, it is a very well-crafted song. It's nice to see folks keep an open mind and appreciate great music for what it is, regardless of genre.

agreed. They take everything super seriously. They seem to like black metal a lot though, which is quite funny.
