Update: didn’t get the job.

I dodn’t have the required level of experience.

It was a long shot anyway, as it was probably above my level of expertise, so having even been considered was positive.

Today I got a call from a recruiter who misread my CV and thought I still work at my previous position as a QA tester (and therefore have more experience in QA than I actually do)

I have a novel experience coming up tomorrow: An interview for a job I don't want! I applied for every position at Stanford that sounded remotely comparable to my current one (I was pretty sure I was going to shortly be laid-off). However, in the meantime, another opportunity within the same group landed in my lap, so I'm not highly motivated to change jobs at this point. I figure it will be fun wasting a half-hour of an HR person's time - partial repayment for many, many hours of my precious life that have been sacrificed at that particular altar over the course of a 30+ year career!
