This one always did it for me.

I've had the pleasure of seeing David do this live twice, in 1994 and 2015, both times jawdropping moments.
Quite possibly my fave Gilmour moment - the intro alone is just monster.
I know a lot of people hate the post-Waters Floyd, but this is up there with the classics for me.

Doubt I'll ever see another player pull sounds like that out of a single coil Strat again (in 2015 he used the black one without the EMGs. Sounded even better). And some of the lead playing...my word.
Obviously a HiWatt on STUN would help a bit, I'd imagine.

Yeah, major influence for sure. Always very creative with various effects stuff as well.

Seeing/hearing it live is very cool as well, with that synth bass really hitting you in the chest in addition to the fabulous guitar. Never heard anything sound that good live, ever.

Oh, I'm in full agreement. The extended solo never sounded more grandiose, and once you've got the visuals as well, it's pure magic. Always loved how casual David looks in that video, just a regular ol' guy in a plain T-shirt. Doesn't get more unassuming than that, and a wonderful contrast to the mayhem that is the music and light show.

Love that song, especially as an older man looking back at youth. I rediscovered it a few years ago and thought wow.
