When they are officially released.

Apparently, leaked all over the inter webs already and this was posted on Reverb.
I saw it on Andy the guitar geek’s YT channel.

It will scratch an itch that I’ve had for a while, but won’t break the bank.
 
I’ll probably grab one also, very cool. I bought up a bunch of Squiers when ProAudiostar had their end of the year blowout last year, the Paranormals were all great. I kept an offset Tele, Cyclone, Cabronita and Supersonic…all really fun guitars, I bought my kids (both older who play guitar) a couple too.

I love pro audio star. Great prices and even though they say Brooklyn NY, they ship out of Winchester VA, which is about 45 minutes from me. I get everything next day with standard shipping.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure all the ones I bought shipped from VA. too.
 
So, I was hoping the release was imminent. Seems that’s not so.

To hurry them along, I’m going to run out and spend more on something else.
The Squiers will be released the next day, because that’s what happens when I do things like this.

I mean, I really didn’t want the Squier, but when it was leaked, I saw it as a low cost to entry and G.A.S. was intensified.

So, this is in my sights now.

That's a tempting 12-string too. Either one would be a fine instrument, I reckon.
 
Well, I stopped in at a store that had one “new in stock”.

It was hanging on the wall. That’s normally not an issue, but it was gross and it honestly looked like only one person had ever touched.
They touched it everywhere.

I checked out the neck and it felt okay.
I checked the balance and it felt okay.

Then I put it back, and availed myself of the hand sanitizer as I left the store.

I’ll just order one.
 
Long & McQuade is having customer appreciation day today.
So, I swung by my local store and ordered it up, got a hot dog and a pop, and 2 years extended warranty for the price of one.

My wife saw the Lake Placid Blue model and liked it more than the white one.
I can live with that!

Should arrive at the store by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Picked it up today.
Store unboxed it and tuned it up so I could try it out.
Pretty solid right out of the box. I get a free setup in the first year if it needs it.

Public Service Announcement: it does not fit in a standard rectangular guitar or bass case. The case it’s in is designed to fit a thunderbird…and costs more.
It does sit in there nice and snug.

I plugged it in to my REVV G120 and it took a lot of tweaking to get a nice clean sound, even on the clean channel. I can do it but the amp settings are way off from where I normally have them. Channel level wide open. Master volume up a fair bit. Lots of headroom.
I probably should have cranked the volume on the Headrush 108s too.
I’ll try it again with the Tilt boost and see if the EQ helps. I think it should. Then, it will be a twist of a knob and maybe a flip of a switch to dial it in when I switch guitars.

It plays really well. Feels almost like just 6 strings once ya get going.

My favourite setting so far is with the IR that includes simultracker. Kinda like a doubler.
Twice the strings! Doubled up! Four times the suck!
