I like the name 'Gradgrind', because Dickens used it for one of the main characters in Hard Times. As a trinket store namesake he's really unsuitable though. He would hate trinkets, all he was interested in was cold, hard facts.
Might I suggest another Dickensian character, from the more suited The Old Curiosity Shop?
