Worst bug bite/sting you ever had

I upset a wasps nest while clearing brush. They chased me for hundreds of yards stinging all the way.

when i was stationed in southern georgia, i pulled my car into a buddies yard to re-clamp the muffler to the frame, and i crawled under the car and in about 30 seconds or so, my back was burning and i had no idea why. fire ants.

i came out from under there with a whole bunch of them on my back, biting away. my buddy told me to turn around and turned the garden hose on my back. felt much better then.
I bet you had a nice collection of welts after that too. Fire ants are incredibly aggressive.

I've been swarmed twice. Once bushwacking with a mtn bike and the other time climbing at a remote crag in Opal Creek. On the ride I stepped over a rotten log and got hit in the legs and trunk. I booked back on the overgrown double-track racing past my partner screaming "Wasps! Wasps! Wasps!" After a split second of "wut?" he started getting hit and ran after me swearing. Unfortunately, in the panic, he'd left his bike behind. He bribed me to go after his bike which was good for another four or five stings. :-/

We'd both been stung over twenty times. We rode to the nearest tavern where the waitress took pity and made us a baking soda and soda water polstice. We drank enough beer to dull the pain and rode back to the truck.

It's always this time of year with the wasps, too. I got hit on the pinky just last Sunday night! Damn those things hurt.

when i was on a survey crew, we were clearing thru a woods to survey in the centerline of a new road. we had a clutz for a rodman and he was always 'plowing ahead'.
so he's swinging that machete like a madman and whacks into a ground nest of wasps. we (the crew chief and i) were still 50 or so yards behind him. he starts yelling 'wasps.....wasps' and we turned and ran away from him. he was catching up to us pretty fast tho. we out ran them but we had to go start clearing in another area for the rest of the day. clutz had quite a few welts on him.

we brought a couple cans of wasp killer for the next day and pretty much wiped those bastards out.

Stung (finned) by a catfish. Hurt worse than any bug bite or bee sting.

Bitten by a dog once, on my paper route. After that, I carried a tire iron. No more dog bites.

I saw this one; a co-worker (auto repair shop) was struggling to get that first bolt started with one hand while holding up a 4-speed transmission with the other. A hornet flew up his shorts and stung him in the nads.

Someone else had to finish that job.

Hmm the worse would be a spider bite, so not an insect. Swelled up so bad that my shoulder ached and it got pretty infected too, though that might be because it happened just around the time I went to Hawaii diving so a bite + salt water was a bad combination.

The bite itself didn't hurt, in fact I have no idea when it actually happened, it was the effect a couple of days later that was bad.

Other than that next up would be horsefly bites I think...I hate those fuckers

I've had plenty of bee stings, jellyfish, wasps, big ass Florida fire ants... you name it, but the worst was a fucking Mud Dawber. Big bastards are like wasps with Nukes and a bad attitude.

And the pilots was laid to da bone home!

push lawnmower over a hornets nest. I don't remember how many times I got stung but it was pretty brutal
