@sunvalleylaw@bsman Yeah, I am somehow getting spoiled to a weird level (this is also a bit of homerism - the greater NM brewing scene has been having a Golden Age since circa 2012, amen to that). The winner of 2013's national IPA challenge is the brewery 3 miles from my house. Just to make a point, I suppose, they went back and won again in 2014 with the same beer: Scale Tipper. I'm sure you 'get' the name.
Anyhow, the stuff in cans around here is local, and less than 2 weeks old, and I still don't enjoy it as much as brewery pours. I have about 20-30 growlers in the pantry, but spoiled little bitch that I am, I worry about fridge space. Even though I have an under-counter bevvie fridge ...
I need to take the shelves out of that thing!
My real worry is that if I regularly purchase growlers to bring home, 1) They're only good for about 48 hours IMO and that's a lot of booze for one man; and 2) the 'purchase event' will also turn into a 'sampling event,' which will turn into a good conversation, which ....
I've got a handful of special things that I've been stocking up for the holidays; some big barrel aged brews and scotch. Might crack something open but I might wait for the new years...dunno
Roasting coffee right now so tomorrow we will be having Ethiopia Agaro Genji Lot 13 with breakfast. It sounds like it should be a nice complex cup.
