yeah its an NOS model. but more than that it has compensated saddles on it.

Looking at the top-mount output jack and the nut slots, I wonder if that guitar might have been set up for a lefty at some point.

i think youre right about the nut slots. and the wear on the neck suggests lefty, but the wear on the body suggests righty. and would a lefty want the cord there? seems like an odd spot.

Id wager this is a partscaster, that body is really pale for a 51. Vince Gills 53 is a similar hue but his is a 53.
