What's the worst show/concert you have ever been to?

I used to take my mother to concerts she wanted to see, so I have seen Johnny Cash and Travis Tritt multiple times, along with Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings...

...and Tanya Tucker...

I was always impressed with the shows those old time country acts out on...they usually spent at least 90 minutes on stage plus threw in an encore or two...Tucker, who was quite a bit younger than some of the others, came out a bit late, spent most of the show telling us how she couldn't wait to get home...she played 50 minutes, ended the show with one verse and chorus of Delta Dawn, and ran (and I mean RAN) for the door...

Color me unimpressed...my mother was PISSED and told every usher and security that she wanted her money back ..
 
How did I forget about Kenny Rogers!!!!

This was a freebie and I still regret going. 15+ years later my pal and I still talk about how bad it was

He did the Sunday afternoon legends slot at Glastonbury one year. My best pal watched it drunk, thought it was the best thing ever, bought 2 briefs for Glasgow and then guilt tripped me into going when no one else wanted to go.

Vocal wise he was poor but just paled given he couldn't have given less of a shit about the performance

He skipped middle verses for most songs.

Coward of the county literally missed out the middle section about Becky, it was just some guy beating people up in a bar.

His "banter" was woeful too. He'd sent a presser out to the papers the week running up to it and the alleged"interview" was his vamps between the songs.
 
Oh, I forgot about the Avett Brothers. I was a big fan from early on, saw them a few times, and they were bigger and glossier every time. The last time I think they were a nine piece putting on a Big Rock Show, which I'm not really interested in, especially from a heartfelt country brothers act.
 
One that comes to mind... I saw Autograph with Kick Axe opening.... opener was great, tiny club.


When Autograph came on, the gear was already set up for a club 3 times the size... and the FOH cranked that shit past the point of unintelligible. We maybe stayed for half the set and was like "ah hell naw".
 
This used to be an issue in the old (and then new) Ritz in NYC. Some of the metal bands played at arena come in a room where you could effectively sound great in with a decent bar band setup.
I feel like it did some damage to my hearing when I was in high school. When I saw Chuck Berry there in middle school the sound was just right. He bitched out the sound guy at one point, but that was as much theater as anything else.
