What are in your opinion, your thoughts, your beliefs the best three-album runs ever?

Hearing and listening are not the same thing.

I bet I listened to them at least 4 or 5 times each. I will say they didn't want me to rip my eardrums out with a pair of pliers like his Erasure days but that isn't saying much.

Little Feat - Sailin' Shoes, Dixie Chicken, Feats Don't Fail Me Now

Ry Cooder - Chicken Skin Music, Showtime, Jazz, Bop Till You Drop, Borderline, The Slide Area, Get Rhythm,

Slayer: Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss

They were untouchable when it comes to metal.

And I didnt even like them that much

great records, but not consecutive. The gawdawful Flo and Eddie period happens between HR and WJ.

I'll nominate:

Overnight Sensation - Apostrophe - Roxy - One Size Fits All - Bongo Fury
I love your list but I also dig Flo n Eddie. So, for the sake of being contrary I submit:

Chungas Revenge, Live at the Fillmore East, Just Another Band From LA.

Having just revisited a bunch of old ELP stuff today, for obvious reasons, have to say Tarkus-Trilogy-Brain Salad Surgery (counting studio albums only) is one hell of a triple.
They were never my big fave (I always liked Genesis, Yes, Tull and King Crimson a whole lot more) when it came to prog, but in creativity and pure musical ability no other band came close at the time. You can also see why their career as a band was quite short, with 3 such big personalities/egos together.
