Weekend wrapup

Friday - Wife went Scrapbooking, son at work.....ahh peace and quiet = Tranquility!!!!

Saturday - Walked the dog followed by errands and a few honey do's. Worked on some tunes and enjoyed the Tranquility once again.

Sunday - Walked the dog but no Taichi due to events for the day. First up an audition with a cover band. While I don't favor doing these types of gigs so much anymore (I will sub), I did it because this band has a nice mix of tunes - Steely Dan, Journey, Tom Petty, Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Frampton, etc. The strangest part of the audition was being at the drummers house and only the singer and bass player played. The drummer went out for his morning walk. Played for 45 minutes and then headed Yorba Linda where I was sitting in for Up Jumped The Bluez guitar player. I enjoy playing in host bands and these guys are fun to play with.

Pulled out the LP Standard for the job. Love the way this guitar sounds and plays but it is heavy axe.

Got back into town Friday after a week up north visiting my dad at the assisted living memory center. Did a bunch of paperwork and chores on Saturday to catch up, and on Sunday I shut the blinds and slept all day. Pretty much an all-around bummer.

Friday= long day at work,picked up 3 hours of over time just for Friday.

Saturday-played a show at my absolute favorite venue in Warm Springs( its within walking distance of FDR's" Little White House").We had a good crowd and went over very well. I am absolutely loving the Telecaster. I have had to make some adjustments to my style but its paying off as the singer and other guitarist are both very very happy with my sound

Sunday- got groceries,threw the ball with the dog, grilled a big steak for dinner
