From the show:

I pulled out the tackiest shirt I own (and the oldest)

my rebuilt pedalboard. Still needs some tweaking:

I had a back muscle seize up while setting up (it was a 16 hour day on my feet and my back just wasn't up to it) so the whole gig was kind of a drag.

SUnday - recover, chores and whatnot.

Spent the weekend not going to Barnstorm, arguing with my parents, and dealing with a toddler who has a few weeks until his birthday but has entered terrible two-dome early. :annoyed:

wednesday: went work. started getting scratchy throat. got worse as the day went on.
thrusday: home sick
friday: home sick
saturday: still sick but getting a little better
today: finally mostly over it. will be able to go to work tomorrow.

totally wasted weekend.

Friday - work and then a drive to pick up Willy.

Saturday - hanging out all day early dinner at a new Greek restaurant, and then hung out with my friend, drinking whisky, while the girls went to see the Elvis show. And my friend brought some deliveries that I had sent to his house in NY.

Including this:

Sunday - chill day, and the grand kids came to visit for a while.

Friday - Appointments in the Am, then school, then PM appointments. Inadvertently pissed someone off here. Emailed with Sonik to start the mastering of the new live CD.

Saturday - AM appointments at the office and dealing with a locksmith to have my office door lock replaced as the old one kept jamming. The rain let up, so Carol and I headed to a local zoo, only to find they were closed due to the rain. Went to a neat farm store nearby, then I went home and played the Gibson a while.

Sunday - Church in the morning, then went home and put together a pre-fab cabinet for Carol. Played the guitar some more.

Friday -

Saturday - Walked the dog, plant maintenance, then went to the Strymon Social event.

I didn't win a new Riverside Distortion (3 were given away) but I did get to check out all of the pedals and jammed with others in the back room. Later that night, I played my duet gig at the Wine Bar - I love this gig!

Sunday - Walked the dog, minor plant maintenance and pretty much chilled and watched football.

Friday- worked 10 hours. long day but I get paid by the hour so its all good. I can use the Over time

Saturday-Played an outdoor benefit from 7pm- midnite for a school that's very special to me. The Joeseph Sams School only admits students with Special Needs, and it was very very fullfilling to be able to help raise money for such a great cause. we were out doors and it got bloody COLD at the end of the nite

Sunday- goofed off, watched the Falcons choke

Friday - Worked and then went to the studio to play with my new reverb pedal. Quality time at the bar followed that.

Saturday - Took my older daughter to the rehearsals for the HSO performing Danny Elfman's music from Tim Burton's films. It was pretty killer. Big orchestra, big choir, big screen. I provided the audio and video support. My daughter thought it was cool. We went out for Thai food after, which was delish.

Fri. Slept. Wife came home and we took a ride around the area to catch what is turning into the last of the fall color. Went really fast around here. One day it was green, the next color and the next bare branches. Got some food and did a Starbucks run. Went to work. At 3:embarrassed:0 in the morning I did a run for Badger Honor Flight to the Madison airport(Why I needed a Starbucks run). Badger Honor Flight is an organization that takes veterans on a free day trip to Washington D.C. to see their memorials. I've done these runs before but this one was slightly different because I had to take a bus with a lift since one of the vets was disabled.

Sat. Slept. Woke up and watched "Another Thin Man" on Turner Classic Movies. Wife was working a double so I had the rest of the day free. Went out to a refuge and took picture of big cats (see photo thread). Only a couple of tigers were active, the rest of the cats were enjoying sleeping in the sunshine (except of two leopards that were enjoying the birth control). Went and did a Starbucks run. Working a long shift so it was caffine time. Got to work about 2 hours early. Drove to Madison to pick up the honor flight people. Got back and did all my regular stuff for the rest of the night.

Sun. Slept. Woke up and watched the F1 race, go Lewis!. Wife came home and I took her to church in Madison. Got some food and did a Starbucks run (see a pattern here?). Got home and slept for a couple of hours. Came to work. Screwing around here while I put off writing work orders to repair these POS icom radios, I have about 6 of them that don't work piled up on my desk. Also have to write repair orders for the shop to replace burned out headlights on two buses. Then I have to do all my regular paperwork and finish up the paperwork on an employee who left us to move to Califoria. Then I may just go home no matter what time it is.

Friday, worked.

Saturday, rode 35 miles and worked.

Sunday, rode 42 miles, worked 45 minutes before telling the asshole manager, "Fuck you in your meathead face", and went home.
Emailed the general manager (who I've been friends with for 20 years) about how the asshole has destroyed morale, etc.

Went to Here Come the Mummies on Saturday night!!!

The opening act was... um.... unique.

Peelander-Z is a "Japanese Atomic Punk" band... they were about 10% music and 90% performance. Running around in the crowd with giant foam monster heads on... waving cardboard signs with the names of their (always repetitive) songs... with titles like "Steak", "Mad Tiger... Mad Tiger... Mad Tiger" and "So Many Mikes"

Watched a movie or two, hung some halloween lights, walked around the woods, made waffles, smoked a slab & had a few beers.
