Weekend Wrapup

That's a strong possibility. We're looking at another SB/Indy weekend here soon, but I can't seem to get the one booking guy I know in SB to get back to me. Not sure what that's about, since we brought more people out last time than either of the other bands, but whatever.

If it's for The Landing, they unexpectedly announced a few weeks ago that they were closing. It was a shock because we were discussing a summer event with them.

It's about time I checked in around here... Well, Saturday, I picked up a 6 month early 50th birthday present for myself - my first ever prescription glasses, complete with progressive bi-focal and self darkening lenses from Nikon... I didn't realize just how crappy my eyes have gotten over the last decade... Nice to be able to see!

Been practicing my guitar all weekend long, studying for my online class, and also out of Mark's new book... Amazing what a bit of practice will do...

Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary... Coors Light, good food, guitar playing, talking crap on amateur (ham) radio, and not doing much of the 100 projects I could be doing...

Welcome back! Oh, you need more eye testing...

Nah, not even anything so high class :embarrassed:

He books at smith's and wander inn in Mishawaka mostly. Good dude, but hard to get in touch with.

Yeah, Smith's is a couple doors down from ROC's where I played at the beginning of the month with my friends in Alligator Blackbird.

You might want to check Phoenix across the street. They've got a proper stage.

Friday - Not a whole lot. Some guitar, some idiot box, and some net surfing.

Saturday - Ran errands and some yard work in the afternoon.

Sunday - Took Jr to work and then left to go to the Orange County Blues Society Jam. On the way there I stopped at Jim's Music Center hoping to find the Quilter Tonebloc available - not out yet.

Monday - Off today and just kicking back. Have our last rehearsal before the House of Blues gig next week.

Ironically, I just ran into the Uke/Xylophone player, Garth, at the deli today at lunch. :)

The pic of him plying the xylophone with the violin now kinda blew my mind. I wonder sometimes how folks come up with ideas like that.

I'm working on a date for the Indiana thing now. Waiting to hear back from the Indy guy right now, he runs punk rock night at the melody inn, it's a pretty fun show. Apparently, it's booked up until June already

Friday - Valentine's day...so went to a classy BBQ place :P

Saturday - nothing really much

Sunday - Wife's birthday so went out to dinner. Also got a bike ride in and played some guitar including the Beatles Birthday song for the wife

Monday - Holiday for me yeah! Another bike ride and some guitar. Bought most of the remaining computer parts for my new computer, only need a GPU now might get that in the next few days depending on deals etc
