Weekend Wrapup

Snow started as I was leaving work Friday. By Saturday morning we were snowed in, watched The Hurt Locker and did nothing all day. Sunday morning we cleared our cars out and the plows finally came, went over to a friend's house to watch the game. Drank some Yuengling Bock, probably too much.

Friday: Nothing
Sat: Drove out to Burbank.
Sunday: Attended superbowl party in Van Nuys (save the comments!).
Drove back home after the game. Faded out and went to sleep.

Nothing really exciting, worked on mixing a song, recorded a couple of solos for another song, hit some thrift stores, got Vietnamese food, went to an antique mall and bought a marble coffee table, watched a Joe Strummer documentary, cleaned the house, made a big pot of chili and watched the Super Bowl with Mrs. Hump.

Friday: Had a couple beers and played some guitar.
Saturday: My mom drove up to see the kids, so the wife and I got a little break. It was glorious.
Sunday: Went with my mom and son to the Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg. Holy shit that place is awesome! Then went to the in-laws with taco dip and steaks for the game.

we've gone to the Legoland out here...it's pretty cool, even for adults...

Saturday, worked out in the yard like a dog most of the day, then tried out a great Thai restaurant that evening.

Sunday, I ventured to play guitar for the first time since slicing open the tip of my left index finger with an x-acto knife last week. Had a very difficult time with it and gave up.

Yeah, I had just as much fun as my son did. It was really cool.

Hah, yeah! Not just Schaumburg, but a mall in Schaumburg. You know how many bro-types are in that place? Thankfully, they don't sell wifebeaters and spray tan at the legoland place

I can only imagine. I don't think I've left the Chicago city limits since early December.

Huh? Does everyone here suffer from hand injuries? I had to use a oedema glove when we recorded Sunday, due to my carpal tunnel operation in December. Pic:

I forgot, I also engaged in a Gary Blanchard approved activity, a friend of mine brought his Seagull 12 string acoustic to the session the other night and I spent some time Saturday writing a song with it.

Nothing gets stranger looks at the market than $40 worth of butter, a box of condoms, and a cucumber.....

... or so i've been told.
buying nothing but $40 worth of butter gets some strange looks too, but your list would probably get stranger ones.

I have carpal tunnel. I'd be curious to hear more about this glove. What's it do?

Snow, shovel, snow, shovel, shovel, snowball fight, football.

Currently waiting on more snow. 8" to 10" predicted for tomorrow night.

We are supposed to be getting a foot starting tonight but we didn't get hammered like you guys just did, currently there might be an inch on the ground.

Tralfaz: I thought so too and asked for another colour, but no, there was just one colour.

And Puckman; I had an operation in December and my hand still becomes swollen from oedema when I work with it, especially if I keep it low. The oedema-glove keeps the oedema away when I play, it´s no real help for the carpal tunnel.
