my deer rifle is a Winchester Model 70 in .270 Winchester. does quite well. :thu:

OK, so let's dissect this a minute. Two miles. Unless the terrain is perfectly flat, you can't see the target. So you are relying on spotters. Since you have a spotter who has a visual on said target, you now have to figure MV, wind, arc, potential impediments (birds, hell, even insects, trees, blowing leaves etc) and then hope said target doesn't move at all in the period of time it takes your round to reach them. I am not quite convinced about this claim.

the article states that the shooter was shooting from a "high rise" building, so if he was 10+ stories up, and there were no obstructions between him and the target, then he could see that far. just sayin'
