Does Parliament Funkadelic count as a supergroup? At least in the years when half the group had hit “solo” singles and everybody performed on everybody else’s albums?

I saw U.K. open for Rush circa '79. I was not familiar with any of their material, but remember them being quite good. I don't remember Bruford being with them though. Perhaps he had departed before this tour. :shrug:
 
I'm going with the Traveling Wilburys, because at that point you had an entirely washed up Dylan (I mean I'm not sure in 1988 anyone thought Dylan still had that string of amazing albums from Time out of Mind through Together Through Life left in him), a Prime Petty, a resurrected Roy, a former Beatle with a late career resurgence, and a man responsible for some of the shittiest music ever to come out of the 1970s.

On the other hand, they were all sort of traditional cock rockers.
