That is an incredibly talented kid. I wonder what any of those douches would say to the kids face. Or how they would fare in a jam with him.

He's got a good touch and solid rhythm, and some of the sickest chops I've ever seen, regardless of age. I've never heard him improvise, but I think he'd bury any of the haters. I've never seen anyone who can really play say shit like that about talented players like Oparin.
 
as i said in that thread, i like the paganini caprice.

those guys don't know their ass from their elbow. too busy arguing about pre-worn saddles instead of actually playing their guitars.
 
He's great. I wonder if he enjoys playing, though. I bet his parents have pushed him pretty hard.
 
That is not anything I'd listen to with any regularity, but that boy is incredibly talented.
 
In other news, people over there are still steadfastly defending John Mayer and Taylor Swift against any and all criticism and declaring all naysayers "jealous".

I really dig TGP, but I think some of those guys just lie in wait and live for all the times they can call everyone jealous.

Also annoying is the guy who always says "Slagging John Mayer is against the rules because he is a member here". :annoyed:

I really don't understand the need for people to hate on a player just because they don't like the style of music they're playing. (Which is kinda what Mark was trying to say in that thread, I think.) That kid's fucking great! I'm not really into that style of music, I don't really care for Gilbert, Vai, Satriani, etc., but that doesn't in any way change or detract from the level of talent those guys have. I'm not a huge fan of modern country either, but that doesn't mean that Brad Paisley or Keith Urban aren't good players.

Shit always annoys me.

pretty much. I just get tired of the same old crappy posts about players that happen to stand out from the norm.
 
The kid's chops far exceed his improvisational ability at this point, but I guess that's fairly standard for child prodigies who haven't really been focusing on that area. Also found his tone in the second half of the vid to be fucking irritating, but that's just me.

Still, he's obviously got talent, though... and no, I really don't get the point of TGP'ers pointing out that he's not the reincarnation of Roy Buchanan or anything.
 
That kid's playing is stellar for anyone of any age.

There is just a crowd over there that is compelled to act like jackassess whenever anything remotely related to "shred" crops up.

And that guy Shark_Bite has the biggest crush on John Mayer that I have ever seen. He was mooning on and on in some other thread about reading the Rolling Stone article on JM and suddenly realizing "OMG John and I think and feel EXACTLY ALIKE". :facepalm:

no disagreements here. the kid is 13, obviously talented, and showing off for Bogner. plenty of time for him to become the next Kurdt Rosentinkle.
