Show us your "studio"!

Yeah. I've blown about twice that on video stuff in the last two months and while things are not too bad around here I've spent about what I should at this point on new stuff. If things go in the right direction for the rest of the year I'll probably do some upgrading, though.
End result on the video part:

The most recent Covid induced studio redux. Likely to change again if all the stuff I preordered months ago ever shows up...

Technically, it's my work office/guitar room. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to stretch out working at home as long as I can and never have to go back to my office downtown.

So what are those Fender amp cab looking end tables? Tell me about those?

Also, @B Valley , is that a 2006 MIM 60th Ann. Std. Strat on the far right of the row of hanging guitars? Looks like it to me maybe. I have one. It was my first electric, and I still love it. Mine is going to end up in Nashville tuning for a while I think while I experiment with jangle. I swapped a tort PG on it years ago. The original is still in good shape in a drawer.

The white Strat is an '84 MIJ '67 reissue . The silver blue Strat, fourth from the end on the right is an MIM 60th Anniversary. I put Rose Handwound pickups in it and it sounds great.

I built the end tables to conceal a pair of powered bookshelf speakers that are connected to my Sonos, and our router/modem.
They're 22" high by 16" wide by 20" deep. They're built from 1/2" plywood. I found the tolex, amp corners, the grill cloth and the badges all on Amazon.
Here are a couple photos that show some detail.

I’ve spent the last 3 days rearranging the two rooms we use the most. Before, most of the gear was downstairs. But we kept bringing our stuff up here because it’s a better space. So I said, fuck it.

These are two sides of the same room. I still have most guitars and one amp downstairs. But the GF and the Boy now have a guitar up here for lessons with Mark.

I’ve only got the guitars out that I play the most, and only 2 amps. Trying to simplify.

here’s the downstairs where it all used to be. Used to have 4 amps and twice as many guitars, with more in my office.

I’m liking the downsizing.

Not really the studio, but trying something new.

I’m still not well, feeling well, etc., but I’ve also been getting a little bored. So I was thinking about doing being busy and doing some little practicing and recording.

Still not allowed to lift anything above 5lbs., but my kids were up for putting it together. My iPad Pro, my Princeton, my microphones, a couple of guitars, mandolin, and cello.

This is my office: it has a lot of my books, and is also great for watching movies and has a couch that’s perfect for naps. Can’t get my piano in there, but it’s dark and cozy, and that’s what I need right now.

That’s my old grandfather’s desk from his first legal firm back in the 50s; when they upgraded the furniture, he brought it home. It’s a really tiny desk and is solid wood and weighs a ton… but it has a lot of sentimental attachment for me, because he used to use it at his home when he was I was little. But I had no real use for it until now. I hope it will.

Looking back at this, my 17 year old would lose his mind over your set up. We got him a Prophet 6 for Christmas and he's going to faint when he opens it. We are so excited. He has taken to piano and synth like a mad man and this is the first interest he's had where we can justify getting him something like that because he has shown a true dedication to it. I can't wait to hear what he comes up with.

“Studio”/office/entertainment room update.

Finished my sit stand desk that I made out of some birch ply and a sit stand base I ordered, I love it! Added a cool, new recliner, well, an old recliner that has been refurbished, a good desk, chair, and rearranged everything. The bike well, and a sit stand base I ordered, I love it! Added a cool, new recliner, got a old recliner that has been refurbished, a good desk, chair, and rearranged everything. The bike will only be in there temporarily while my daughter is home from college, and will go back up to her room after she returns. Which will open up the space.

My wrist is feeling much better finally so looking forward to getting back into playing and doing some good practice and recording.

I am considering a good guitar stand that accepts a couple/few guitars, also, next to that filing cabinet. Anything to make it easier just to grab a guitar and play.

these three are just progress pics for the new desk and the new recliner.

Also will probably mount at least the smaller little speakers from the AV system (such as that little one on the corner of the desk) via wall mounts up in the corners. and pull them off the surfaces.

Any suggestions for usability for recording, and any suggestions on a good sturdy little 4 guitar rack appreciated.

New rack to further organize guitar, ridiculousness brands, considering my skill level) and to get the guitars out in the room in order to play them with low barriers to just starting.

Not the home studio, but upgraded the tracking gear that I have in our rehearsal space.
Gone full Audient now for pres/interfaces. Evo16, Evo SP8 and ASP800 (as well as an id44 that I use at home for mixing and tracking guitars).
24 tracks going in, and the Audient stuff is working fantastically well - great sounding pres that are several levels above the Scarlett stuff I've been using before.
Have to admit I was a bit sceptical about the auto-gain feature on the EVO's, but that's really useful actually, not to mention a huge time saver. And you don't actually have to use it.

All in a 4U rack as well, so I could easily do location stuff if I want to. :thu:

OK, work in progress pictures in my new house I moved into in August. First pic is a messy room that will turn into essentially a downstairs office and art studio room adjoining the downstairs rec room. There is a large desk to the right as you enter, which will have a computer and interface, etc. Probably my old Mac mini with my version of logic Pro on it. That keyboard that is buried and stuff will be on the left wall I think. The teak credenza down below that is in my living room currently housing a stereo will go down into that room to resume service holding record, albums, music, books, and all my related music paraphernalia. I am waiting for a cabinet to arrive from Scandinavian designs which will go upstairs and fit that space a little better and then I can move the old teak piece down there and get things arranged. and that fender amp and my guitar rack, and most of my guitars will be back in that corner behind the TV for easy access for whenever, and I can put a microphone on it and connect it to the interface from around the corner when I want to. My other amps Will mostly likely end up in that little room also and I can mix them as I want to to record, or whatever. so, progress, not perfection!!

One of these will end up upstairs, where that teak unit is now and will make it so I can bring the speakers in a little more so the right one is not slightly hanging onto the entry tile pad, and the left one is not Slightly sticking into the hallway. I ordered it weeks ago when there was a sale, and it just needs to get here.

EDIT: Just found out the ScanDesign cabinet is in at the warehouse in Boise for me to pick up and no one managed to tell me. So, will be able to get that soon when I get over there.
