Scala Guitars

Weeeeell, since most seem to like it, I really am trying to like it, too . . . but really, I got nothin'.

Points for a convincing relic job, but the only relic guitar I'd buy is a Rory Gallagher, and I wouldn't pay that much for a guitar.

Not sure what this model is. Normally Im not into relicing or aging but for some reason I dig this one.

It's a Scala Underdog custom White Spell, one of two Underdogs made for Richard Fortus of G'N'R.

This is what he had to say on FB.

"I can't tell you how madly in love with my 2 Scala's I am. They are 2 of the finest instruments I have ever owned. They are absolutely phenomenal instruments in every way. I look forward to playing them at every show. The finest Les Paul's i've ever played or heard. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Honestly man, I have a pretty stellar collection of vintage instruments. I don't own a real burst (yet), but i've played quite a few. I have not played one that has felt or sounded better than yours. I talk about those guitars all the time. They are alive. notes seem to just explode off of them. So incredibly expressive, i've not been this excited about an instrument in quite some time. You should be very proud. You are a true artist."

Obviously this one is little too much for most but then it's a stage instrument that sort of makes a statement (whatever that may be).

His second axe is more of akin to vintage '59.
