Dont tell anyone, but I have "crushed" a donut that way before back in the day. We had some post concert donuts in bed and I thought it would be funny to ask the woman if she wanted a donut. She did laugh. Who's the most popular guy on the nude beach? The guy who can hold the most donuts. Who's the most popular girl on the nude beach? The one who can eat the last donut.Maybe he actually means this...but with a doughnut
I'm an old white dude and I've been saying "crushing" in reference to eating mass quantities for a couple decades, now.

16 bucks for a dozen? Yikes. There is a small shop close to my house that sells donuts like these for a dollar each. Once they run out, they close up. And many days, that is super early in the morning.
This place is worth it. They're baked while you're there. They get dipped in glaze and toppings while they're still hot and either handed to you or put in your box. You put it in your mouth and you have a positive reaction that you shouldn't have to food.

That's what Donnie's Donuts here does. They have been staying open longer over time though. I assume they saw the profit potential and just made more donuts to start the day.
They do 2 kinds of donuts, a vanilla cake and a chocolate cake and then get creative with the "toppings"
You can also build your own which is cool. Their French Toast and Fruity Pebbles variety are awesome and they have a Blueberry Cheesecake that has a cream cheese icing with blueberry pie filling drizzled over it. Amazing.
And of course the Maple Bacon is my favorite.
