Recomendations for a true gold foil pickup that fits a full size humbucker

The first two that came to mind are the Billy Gibbons Seymour Duncan and the Lollar Gold Foil.

They’re separated by a decent chunk of cash, but it also depends on the exact look your going for.

Well the Lollars are too many Dollars...lolol

I'm hesitant to buy a signature pickup cause who knows how it will sound with a body and neck that might not compliment it. I've got no problem with sig. guitars cause that's the whole package (or should be). I'm just sayin I'd never put a Kirk Hammit EMG in a 175 or such.

Thanks for the suggestions though. I'm also considering just surfing Reverb or similar for a cheap Teisco and just rob the pups out if it and cut a pickguard for them. Or maybe doing a GFS thing although I'm not sure those are true Gold Foils despite the ad copy

BTW these are going in a thinline...
 
@Honkridge Honestly, It's not like Billy Gibbons is known for that pickup.... honestly the Pearly Gates is what I think of when I think Billy Gibbons Signature Pickup. It's more than likely a look he requested because nobody else had, and I'm glad he did... I could see getting a set of those just 'cause the tops are cool.

Mine was free. Someone wife worked at two jobs ago sent this home with her, wanted me to fix it.

I got the neck actually attached. Neck had a massive back bow so, I thought what this needs is some string tension. It didn't have a bridge, I put a TOM on a piece of wood to distribute it over a bigger area. Started tightening the strings and could see the top of the guitar collapsing. Thought for a minute about spraying expanding foam in the F holes then, told wife to tell her coworker it can't be fixed. Years went by, they never came and got it.

Anyways I wanted to say, the real ones are really wide. I was going to put it in a Strat but, it would be outside the pickguard. Only thing I have wide enough is a Tele and it's a regular Tele, not a Thineline so, check if it will even work before you buy a real one.
