Pink Floyd

Many years ago, I gave my Technics turntable, and all my vinyl albums, to a friend. Years later, he offered to give them back to me. At that point I lived in a big house with plenty of room, so I took them back. I unboxed an old Pioneer turntable, hooked it up to a Yamaha receiver, and played vinyl through my Polk Audio speakers.

The Pioneer turntable did not have pitch adjustment, so I had to adjust the tuning on my guitars to play along. I sold the Pioneer on eBay for more money than I expected, and bought a cheap DJ turntable with pitch adjustment (Numark).

It would be cool to have a high end, audiophile turntable and stereo, like the one in the video. But, I only own about 100 vinyl albums. I have more than 500 CD’s. Yet, I mainly listen to music played on my phone through my Alpine car stereo or my Shokz OpenFit ear buds.

As for Pink Floyd, I never got to see them live in concert. But, I did see Roger Waters tour the music of Pink Floyd during the 90’s. His voice was still decent back then, and the musicians were top notch. Snowy White and Doyle Bramhall II, both played guitar. Doyle even sang lead on a couple of songs.
