Picked up a chair wrong at work

Punchy

Slacker Supreme
And now I get to have surgery for a torn bicep tendon. Hell, I didn't even pick it up wrong I don't think, just a freak thing. It's not even in the top 10 heaviest things I've picked up this week. Had initial appt today, plus pre-MRI x-rays on my elbow and orbital sockets (did you know they do that if you've ever welded anything?), and MRI scheduled for Sunday morning.

Getting older is hell. I am thankful it happened at work, so it's covered by worker's comp, and it's not like I can't do my job with my arm in a sling, so I'm hoping it doesn't put me out TOO long. Otherwise it's gonna be real hard to go back

I’ve never been asked if I’ve welded anything prior to a mri and have had 3. lol. Even talked about getting a sliver of steel in my eye 30 plus years ago cutting steel. Hope you have a quick arm rebound.

There's a good chance the injury was already there, and lifting the chair pushed it over the edge, similar to someone's back going out.

Mojo for quick healing after a successful surgery.

Injury mojo!

I'm in a sling too. I did a grade 3 shoulder separation 3 weeks ago while mountain biking. I don't believe I need surgery. I find out for sure today. Either way it's about 12 weeks from the Injury date until It will be normal. I went back to work. I wear the sling all day and don't lift with my injured right arm.

Get well soon.

I was loading some stuff in my car to take to a client on April 6th. I twisted my leg somehow and tore the meniscus in my left knee and sprained the ACL and MCL. I hobbled back into the house and my Wife drove me to Emergency. They gave me an xray and scheduled an appointment for the nrxt day to see an orthopedic surgeon.
The company I work for is huge on safety, so I contacted my safety rep and he contacted Workmen's Comp who sent me to an occupational health office where I had to check in weekly for 6 weeks before they finally agreed to do an MRI and schedule a visit with a surgeon.
In the meantime, trying to walk with crutches was taking a toll on my right knee. I was in San Francisco limping down the street in Chinatowm when that one decided to crumble.
When I got home I went to my own surgeon and he said both knees were bone-on-bone. So next Wedneday I get a new right knee and a month later I get a new left knee. Workmen's comp is still dragging their feet on my left knee so I'll probably do that one on my own insurance as well.

Yikes, double knee mojo dude! Those hills in SF are no joke!

Our worker's comp is pretty responsive, but it's going to be REALLY hard to not do anything that might be considered WC fraud after the fact. I don't "sit and heal" well. . .

I thought about doing it myself.
Picked up one of these.

No injury is funny, but yeah, I hear you.
I think I have water on the knee. Never had it before and it doesn't hurt, it's just swollen and "smushy" on my kneecap.
With all the shit I have going on, I'm not even going to mention it to my doctors unless it gets worse.

Hope you heal quickly.
