Not familiar with Artesia... The only reason the wife and I haven't purchased a Yamaha in the same formfactor (over a Roland or Casio, actually) is that we legitimately don't know where to put it. We have old-school radiators that eat up a lot of space and I don't want to put anything plastic near them, just in case, and we don't own the house so I'm not installing something "better".

OK, I bought this Martin the first time it was on SDOTD. I absolutely love it. I had been looking at an open box 000-15M for $1450 at Sweetwater (it's still on Sweetwater's site BTW), but they were only doing 36 month financing on Martin whereas MF was doing 48 month. I went with the 000-17 on MF and I'm pretty good at paying that off for 0% interest over four years. I've never owned a Martin before, but I have played a friend's several times, and those things just sound good. I can't give you anything more scientific than that. And it's light as hell.

15 series Martin, OK - but I'd be really careful about anything above that. Read up on their continuing issues with loose binding and the company's shit-ass response:
