Yeah. I’m not sure what Supro is up to. The first wave of the fancy Supros weren’t bad players, but $1k for an Indonesian-made guitar that simply looks like an old pawn shop prize (but with radically different construction) is not super appealing.
Frankly, if they had just introduced the fiberglass ones in the spirit of the Dano U2/DC59 reissues of the ‘90s and offered an affordable ($399) way to get a cool sound/weird vibe they might have gotten some traction.
Also, instead of a whole line of amps they should have just launched one or two key reissues and let the market snarf those up vs having to decide between specs while weighing options in a diluted product launch.
Customers are dumb. Keep it simple, Supro.

Silly Vox. Use your “organ guitar” history and plunk this nonsense into a tweaked Phantom or Teardrop and make some retro futuristic money. No one wants a guitar that looks like an accessory packaged with a ‘90s action figure.
