Great news! I just checked with a law clerk friend of mine, and if you've got a Dodge Omni but you have a hard time saying "Dodge Omni", it is not illegal for you to refer to the vehicle as a "Jom Jommie". However you must own the car (or be leasing it) and have current / verifiable insurance and registration.

I thought this might make some of you feel relieved! Dance, celebrate, it's a great day!

Calling your auto Jom Jommie is South African for friend. It may not be illegal in most states, but it’s sleg. Skelm should be ashamed.
