Horny bag of electric meat
New Jazz Box Day.

I found this little gem at the pawn shop this morning. It's hand made from the Galloup Luthery School. It's a student build. Solid spruce top. Solid figured maple back and sides. Ebony fretboard. These sell for about $5k new. I paid a lot less than that.

Here are pictures. I'm not planning to keep this one. I just don't have need for a jazz box. I dropped it off for a setup. It will go up for sale when I get it back.

It's a beautiful thing that would be about as useful to me as tits on a boar!

You're thinking of this backwards.

You buy instruments in order to force you to learn new skills, not buy instruments in order accommodate your current skills. The latter road leads directly to perpetual GAS.

Keep in mind that I live in Chicago so there are a lot of pawn shops. But it's usually just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
