I've been looking for a guitar like this for about a year in pawn shop, flea markets etc. Plays and sounds great!

I have a similar guitar, my mom’s 1971 Aria(na). Sounds incredible and plays like butter. Many of these old Japanese guitars were made with old-growth spruce and Brazilian rosewood.

Nope, but I still think it's worth the $40 I paid for it.:cool:

Yeah, I was going to get into how it doesn't really matter if you're not really playing classical pieces in front of people. Even then, if Elliot Fisk of De Lucia picked up a laminated top nylon string, they might not "like" it, but I'm sure it would still sound great in their hands.

I actually studied classical guitar in college for a few years. I had a Yamaha that I liked a lot but this one sounds incredible to me, though I haven't heard a really great one in a long time. And your right, I don't think I'll be playing a classical gig any time soon.

Same here. The Yamahas are great classical geetars... Aria made a lot of high quality instruments back in the day. Enjoy!
