NGD - Luna Deco TLE

I'll add that I had a chance to try this with distortion. It's really nice. The pickups are not overly powerful. They are clear sounding with a lot of separation between notes. It's a nice guitar.

That's fine by me. :thu: I have no problem with using a clean boost, or high gain amp, to compensate for lower output pickups. What counts to me, is that they sound good. Crappy sounding pickups, are crappy sounding pickups, irregardless of their output. I'm still sort of intruiged by the Luna "sort of" LP Jr. clone, Amazon is selling on their site.

Well, I did something I probably shouldn't have done. I did a side by side comparison of the Tele and my Keystone pickup equipped Strat. I realize that different woods will produce different tones. But there is no denying that the Keystones are far superior to the stock pickups. The neck pickup sounded muddy in comparison. The bridge sounded shrill. Needless to say, I immediately ordered a set of Keystones for the Tele. They should be here in about 6-8 weeks.

hehehe. hate it when that happens :embarrassed:

As of right now, the issue of a bonus here at work, is still in doubt. There is no indication, that there will be one. Usually, we are informed by the 15th of the month.

No Bonus = no NGD

Congratulations!

I own a Luna acoustic and am quite happy with it. I have been looking at the Deco TLE and am glad to hear from someone who likes it.

Very Nice!
I have 2 Lunas that I scored the same way. A Luna Phoenix Artist for myself and a Sol Acquarius for the wif, both great guitars. Although I'm still waiting on a replacement tuner knob for the Phoenix. It took a spill a couple of weeks ago and one split in half. Luckily that's all that happened.

It would be an easy drive for you. 294 south to 95th Street. Go east on 95th for about a block or 2. Then take Harlem (rt. 43) south to 159th street. Take a left and go about 3/4 of a mile. The Music Go Round is on your left in a strip mall. If you call them, they will hold it for you and pull the ad from ebay.

 I was just there three days ago!

Cool guitar (not exactly the color for me); BAD directions cop0

If you go South on Harlem, you need to turn RIGHT at 159th St. and go about 1.5 miles or so (you may be thinking of LaGrange Rd/US 45, where you would in fact turn LEFT and go about 3/4 mile).

FWIW, this MGR is the last one left in the Chicago area, and right now it is chock full of CRAP, but dig through most of it and there IS some good crap. Also looks like they may be carrying Schecter, as they have a few new ones hanging up on the "guitars that we deem decent so we have to hang them on the counter-side of the floor" wall

And good to see you here

EDIT- And Ellen, PK's right- that is one HELL of a trip during the rush hour. IMO, that store is not worth the suffering you will endure. I would suggest trying a Saturday morning and maybe making a day of it hitting some other stores as well. Or, like PK says, go to the MGR website or check EBay.

My .02 :)

You're right. My bad. Yes, if you are taking Harlem south, you need to turn right on 159th. MGR would then be on your right.

I also agree with you. Unless you are planning a day trip to the Chicago area it's probably not worth the drive. The MGR is nothing great. And they are a rip off if you are trying to sell something to them.
