New gear day

I just received my new Neural DSP Quad Cortex. I had to install the software update so I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I don't want to lug around the rack anymore.

I got a chance to play around with it. As usual with a lot of digital gear, I find many of the factory preset patches underwhelming. However, digging into it and building my own patches I can see what it really offers. It even has captures of the ADA MP1 that sound really good.

My in-laws are staying with us for the next few weeks, so unfortunately I won't have many opportunities to really play with it for awhile.

I would totally be interested in one of these if I was playing out and about. I noticed Tony Levin uses one live these days.

Plus “neural capture” sounds like something me and my brain should look into.

All the cool kids are are doing neural capture and release. It's basically Bass tournament combined with a Pokemon Go rip off.
